Management Assistance Program 

ESC Management Assistance Program provides capacity building and valuable management consulting to organizations helping create an even greater impact upon our community. The program offers a community resource of experienced professionals who provide cost-effective consulting and executive mentoring services that assists organizations and individuals improve their performance.

 

Consulting services are provided by an impressive cadre of volunteers with proven, reality based, problem solving skills. These dedicated individuals are committed to helping nonprofits and businesses address their most critical management needs.

 

The organizations assisted by the Management Assistance Program are as varied and diverse as our community and span a broad spectrum of need. They include organizations that are working to enhance the lives of youth, eradicate poverty and homelessness, make the arts accessible, provide social services, improve education, provide health care, and more.

 

The Management Assistance Program is committed to ensuring that nonprofits in central Indiana have well performing boards, quality strategic plans, effective program delivery, competent, well-qualified staff, and all the other elements that are key to nonprofit excellence. Additionally, MAP works with businesses to help them address areas of need so they can perform more effectively and efficiently. Services are customized and delivered on-site, typically by a team of especially-selected consultants.

 

The developed methodologies and tools address organizational and management effectiveness. As such, our consulting process employs a consistent approach which is tailored to meet the individualized needs of the client. These services include strategic planning, executive mentoring, and board development. Additionally, volunteer consultants bring a range of expertise to cover many other areas including, financial management, business planning, organizational and management consulting, and human resources.

Management Assistance Consulting Information

 

Executive Mentoring - is an investment in the professional and personal development of nonprofit executive directors, business leaders, and other individuals in leadership roles. The goal in executive mentoring is to enhance the effectiveness and confidence of leaders by pairing them with experienced advisors who offer guidance, support, and feedback for an extended period of time, usually a year. Strategic Planning - is a comprehensive nine-step process led by a team of volunteer consultants with training and expertise in this area. The consultant team will provide the necessary materials and publish the results of the strategic plan, a key component for any organization as they plan for the future. Board Development Workshop - is a  workshop that addresses the critical need for all nonprofits to have an informed and involved board of directors who accepts responsibility for the organization. The workshops are created with the specific needs of the board of directors and organization in mind and may include board member responsibilities, board formation and recruitment, board committees, and board/staff relationships.
